Barry W. Wilson – Independent Director and Chairman of the Board

Barry Wilson joined Heartscape in July 2007 as an independent Director and Chairman of the Board, following his retirement as Senior Vice President of Medtronic, Inc. and President, Medtronic International. Barry was a member of the Medtronic Executive Committee reporting to the CEO and was President of Medtronic Greater China. Wilson held several prior executive positions in the pharmaceutical industry, including President of Bristol-Myers Squibb Intercontinental, and President, International, of the Lederle Laboratories Division of American Cyanamid Company.  Barry has also served as a member of the Board of Directors of Bausch and Lomb and of Mallinkrodt, Inc. until their acquisition and merger, respectively, and was recently appointed to the Board of Directors of Welch-Allyn.

Jordan Davis – Director

Jordan S. Davis is a Managing Partner of Radius Ventures, a health and life sciences venture capital firm. Prior to Radius, Jordan served as a Managing Director at KBL Healthcare, Inc., a health and life sciences venture capital and investment banking organization, and cofounded and served as Vice President and Director of KBL Healthcare Acquisition Corp., a publicly-traded Specified Purpose Acquisition Company (SPAC). Previously, Jordan was primarily engaged in financial advisory and money management having served for five years in the Private Client Services and International Equity divisions of Morgan Stanley & Co., Inc. He was a founder of Cambridge Heart, Inc., a cardiology device company, and Voxware, Inc., a speech technology company, both companies that achieved IPOs in 1996. Jordan currently serves on the boards of directors of Athersys, Inc., Health Language, Inc., and Heartscape Technologies, Inc., each portfolio companies of Radius. He also serves on the board of HealthCorps, a charitable health education organization, and as a mentor in the Kauffman Fellows Program. Jordan earned an M.B.A. from the J.L. Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Northwestern University and a B.A. in Economics from The State University of New York at Binghamton.

Brian Kerr – Director

Brian Kerr was one of the founding directors of Scottish Equity Partners and has a strong reputation and a wide base of contacts in the healthcare and finance sectors, all of which enable him to play an important role in the growth and future fund-raising of portfolio companies. Brian has great breadth and depth of experience in assessing the needs of young healthcare and life sciences companies, based on 12 years of investing in this sector and an academic background in biotechnology. Brian has been responsible for a significant number of deals with companies pioneering world class technology in the life sciences sectors and led SEP's recent investments in Rhytec, BioVex, Intercytex and Arakis.

Joey Mason – Director

Joey Mason joined Delta Partners in 2003, specializing in Life Science investments. He serves on the boards of Genable, Glysure and Heartscape Technologies. Having trained as a doctor, Joey spent five years as an investment banker in the Health Care market with Morgan Stanley International and Technomark in London. From 1995 until 1999 he was Director of Corporate Development at Biotrin Holdings plc, a venture capital backed Irish biotechnology company. In 2000 he co-founded and managed Eumom Ltd, a marketing services business which operates websites for pregnant women in Germany, Ireland, Switzerland and the UK. A medical graduate of Trinity College, Dublin, he is a Fellow of the RSA.

Jakob Lindberg – Director

Jakob joined Investor Growth Capital Europe (IGC) in 2006 and is a Vice President of IGC. Jakob focuses on investments in life sciences. Prior to joining IGC, Jakob worked at McKinsey & Co. and was co-founder and CEO of Cellectricon AB, a Swedish company developing functional cell-based screening devices for drug discovery. He is a Swedish physician with a degree from the Karolinska Institute and a B.A. in Finance from Stockholm University.

Michael D. Lesh, MD – Director

Dr. Michael Lesh is a physician, scientist and entrepreneur. He earned undergraduate and graduate degrees in computer science and bioengineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology before entering medical school at the University of California San Francisco. After completing internal medicine training at UCSF and cardiology and cardiac electrophysiology training at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania, he joined the faculty at UCSF, where he was Chief of Cardiac Electrophysiology. Dr. Lesh's research spanned a wide range from bench to bedside, including the use of multi-lead body surface mapping for cardiac diagnosis. He pioneered a number of procedures for catheter ablation of cardiac arrhythmias, and is the author of over 300 scientific papers, book chapters and books. Dr. Lesh holds over 100 patents issued or pending. Since 1997, Dr. Lesh has founded three successful medical device companies based on his inventions. Johnson and Johnson (JNJ) acquired his first venture, Atrionix, developer of a novel ultrasound ablation catheter for atrial fibrillation. Dr. Lesh founded and was Chairman and CEO of Mitralife, which developed a catheter-based treatment for mitral valve disease and CHF; and Appriva, which developed PLAATO, a percutaneous trans-catheter device for preventing stroke. Mitralife and Appriva were acquired by ev3, Inc. Dr. Lesh is currently founder, Chairman and CEO of Evera Medical, a medical device company developing and commercializing novel biomaterials for plastic, reconstructive and general surgery. He also serves on the Board of Directors of Stentys, Inc.

Arthur Hiller (CEO)

Arthur Hiller (CEO) provides a breadth of health care industry experience as a senior level executive in marketing, sales, business development, manufacturing and distribution. Mr. Hiller has played a lead role in major Pharmaceutical, Biotechnology and Managed Care Companies, as well as more entrepreneurial Medical Marketing and Education businesses. As Senior Vice President at Millennium Pharmaceuticals, Arthur launched and managed the successful product re-branding and re-positioning of Integrilin, an anti-platelet agent for ACS  patients (acute coronary syndrome), resulting in multi-year double digit growth and annual sales exceeding $350 million.  Prior to joining Millennium, Mr. Hiller held Vice President Positions at Merck, Merck-Medco and Meded Healthcare. At Meded Arthur also served as COO tripling revenues from $6.5 to $21 million over a five year period.  In each of these positions Mr. Hiller had responsibility for development of alliances, joint ventures, and licensing and other business opportunities to support strategic initiatives. Mr. Hiller began his career with Lederle and Ayerst Laboratories, where he held positions of increasing responsibility in sales, sales management, training, product management and licensing.  Arthur holds a Bachelor’s Degree from Northwestern University and a Master’s Degree in Business Policy from Columbia University.

Carl Rebert (President and COO)

Carl Rebert (President and COO) has over twenty years of medical device business experience including senior management roles in both start-up and public companies. Prior to the formation of Heartscape, from 2002 to 2004, Mr. Rebert served as President of the PRIME Business Unit of King Pharmaceuticals, Inc.  Previously, Mr. Rebert was the President and CEO of Vesta Medical, a venture-backed medical device start-up developing minimally invasive surgical technology that was eventually sold to Pfizer for greater than five times invested capital.  As the VP, General Manager of the largest division of Circon Corporation, an endoscope device business, Carl was responsible for sales growth of approximately 15% per year in a mature market, doubling sales during his management tenure to $75 million.  Mr. Rebert earned a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and an M.B.A. from California State University.
